Last week I had the pleasure of working with Upfront on an ad campaign for WOODCHUCKcase. Our mission was to create larger than life displays that captured the unique personality of WOODCHUCK. Luckily we had the perfect people to fill their wooden shoes. John-Mark and Kelley Havey were our models for the campaign, and could not have been a more perfect fit.
The images needed to show a level of sophistication and effortlessness, while still bringing a ton of energy to the table. Showcasing the products without coming across, “catalogy” was our challenge – and the abstract movement of the models was our answer. John-Mark channeled his inner Matrix, traveling in and out of reality for most of the shoot. He brought the heat for sure. Kelley did an awesome job at playing the sophisticated anchor to John Mark’s wild character.
After we wrapped the shoot, the prepress guys at Upfront hustled and got the final images outputted into 8 foot tall displays. I can’t explain to you how awesome it is to be a part of such a seamless process. The team turned this concept in to a larger-than-life reality, and did it all under one roof. Special thanks to Zach Nelson for documenting the process in only a way that he can.
